The most remarkable thing about the Star hand-gun is what molyfusion does to the carry weapon.

Prior to test the handgun was cleaned and treated with Moly-Fusion. This was done by Ross before this test date. The gun was then treated accordingly.

Gun #4 is Ross CCW and was used for self-protection

It was fired with another weapon, a Walther P99 9mm.

Approximately 200 Rnds were fired were fired from this weapon and the other one. The area this was done in was a sandy pit area of a local gun club in the White Mountains area, Northern NH. Firing was done from numerous positions including prone. No attempt was made to keep stray sand from them. And there were no malfunctions.

Cleaning was easily accomplished dry. A clean rag was able to wipe off all fouling from the gun. There was no caked carbon as there usually is that requires a brush to remove using the dry cleaning method.

(The dry cleaning method and then lubrication is the standard for most law enforcement agencies that follow FBI training.)

Conclusion:

Moly-Fusion helps in keeping the Star 9mm handgun weapon reliable. In no area did sand, etc. stick to the gun during testing. The product eases the cleanup that must occur after firing. During the weapon cleaning in dry condition, it felt to me as if it had already been lubricated using the 7 point method of oiling! In my opinion, oiling using the Moly-Fusion maintenance oil as a first-use base (modification to the 7 point method of oiling) will assure reliable functioning of duty-CCW usage.

No one should carry an un-cleaned weapon for self-protection for various reasons. This product helps this mandate to be accomplished easily.
