One really nice thing about it is it is mild in acid so it doesn't destroy the soft metals in the Dmascus steel, but gives a great colorful blackening of the steel, while accentuating the soft coloring in the metal. It does it right away, rather then later. The 2.5X is diluted 1 part concentrate and one part water before using it as a dip, or just reacted directly without dipping.
