I am kinda strange in a way...I really have to like a product to give it an "attaboy" here on the forum...seriously. I don't like to do it because very few products out there are really that good and consistent.

I also try to refrain from slamming bad companies...unless IMO they really SUCK and I want you all to know about it....like a "learn from my misfortune"..kinda thing. I've done it before and hopefully wont have to do it again.

Well I'm gonna tell you about a GOOD ONE. A learn from my good fortune kinda thing!

Over a year ago I read about this product that is supposed to make your guns metal contact surfaces as slick as possible...literally. Its made by ShooterSolutions and is called Moly-Fusion... it bonds to your guns metal on a molecular level and stays there...making it very resistant to friction, abrasion and heat.

I bought some...just a little tiny bottle, about a year ago. I read the instructions and tried it on my 3953, Compact and K40....every gun cycled better and ran longer with less lube and maintenance.

I found out I hadn't applied it correctly and did the 3953 again the right way...HOLY *(^$^ ! The manufacture of this stuff says that you may need a heavier recoil spring due to the slide/frame friction dropping...it has none! I ran a 20# spring and it was almost too weak.....WOW!

I am sorry to say I sold all of my guns that had the treatment on it and just kinda put it in the back of my mind.

I found the little bottle the other day and remembered what it does to guns and the bottle had a tiny bit left. As ironic as this sounds....the day after I found my almost empty bottle..the guys from Shooters Solutions called me to update me to their new "Way improved version of this stuff"....

They are very cool and nice to deal with. It works by actually getting the good stuff into the metal of your gun..on a molecular level. They can explain it better than I can.

(I warning you! If you call them and want technical information..they all have knowledge and information equal to a Chemistry Professor! If you are a layman, they can tell you how it works in the basic terms...if you want more...youd better sit down and get a cold one.)

The newer version is supposed to be at least 20 times as strong as the original, easier to apply (thank god ) and be CHEAPER!......plus it comes with a weaker "touch up" style Moly Fusion treatment...they recommend you redo your guns as you see fit or every 4-5 thousand rounds..remember it gets into the metal and doesn't go away...it wears out..just like your gun does.

I never had to touch up my guns and had over 4K rnds of hot 9mm thru my S&W 3953..I replaced 5 recoil springs in it and the slide to frame friction was still none existent........it works.

I ordered a "kit" of the stronger Moly Fusion and the treatment solution and should get it this week. I will do my guns and test as I did before.....

If there are any UT shooters who want to try this stuff out..email me. You will be amazed at what the old stuff did...If the new stuff is up to what they say it will do.

We can do a before and after shoot/smoothness test...I offering if there are any takers.....I recommend you bring heavier recoil springs with you....very seriously!

You can use it in the barrel (***IMPORTANT NOTE***NOT THE CHAMBER, its so strong it will let your case start to leave the chamber early and this is NOT GOOD!) The slide/frame rails, trigger parts..hammer sear etc..inside of the slide..I even did my mags!

It makes the surface smoother than I can describe to you, resists chemicals and doesn't get hot....no friction = no heat. It dissipates heat very quickly if it does get any..so your gun runs cooler also.

Here is there website: shop.store.yahoo.com/shoo...index.html

Here is a test they did at "Rimfirecentral", a forum thats the "mothership" of rimfire forums. These guys are just as mistrusting as anyone else on a forum...read it..its good stuff. rimfirecentral.com/forums...adid=14392

I also copied a thread from TFL about MolyFusion...I have it in Word format if anyone wants a copy Ill email it to them....since TFL is no longer around.

Ill let you all know how it works......should prove to be very very very good for CZ guns.

Shoot well and thanks...Eric

Well I got the MolyFusion....packaged nicely [Grin]
The application of this new stuff is way easier and seems to work alot faster..the older stuff took about 45 minutes...this is 15-20. I applied it to my Taurus PT911 this time for testing...I know "why not a CZ?"...my PCR is my main carry and dont try stuff out on my carry guns.....out a the gate anyway. I’ll do all of them when I test my ...er, test gun?
I did the slide rails, frame rails, inside of the slide, barrel (not the chamber), barrel shroud and feedramp....... Ill do a subjective test this week....Shoot well (Post 1/6/03)

Well I shot my PT that’s treated with Moly fusion....very nice.
I NEED A BETTER RECOIL SPRING! It makes that much of a difference! I’ll compile a longer and more detailed
summary soon… but wanted to let you all know..this stuff works as advertised! Believe it. Shoot well (1/19/03)

I wanted to update you all to the progress in my playing around with Moly Fusion. I treated my PCR's and SA with it...as per the instructions...clean very well, heat parts with a Blow Dryer..etc. etc....
I did the frame/slide rails, inside of the slide where the barrel shroud contacts it, barrel feed ramp and shroud - and the bore.
After the initial treatment was done...cleaning the barrel is almost TOO EASY! It turns carbon based metals...4140 Chrome moly steel etc, a dark/med grey.....

The 20# Wolf recoil spring I use in the PCR's was very adequate for all loads I shoot...even alot of +P..These are my CCW's and I practice with it as my budget dictates (Buy HBE Holsters )....the recoil spring was replaced just after the initial treatment on my Custom...new 20# Wolf. It now feels like a 16-18# unit...and +P is getting to the point that I may have to get a 22# to compensate for the increased lubricity in the gun.....pretty incredible.

(Just for noting....the rails were polished in the gun before AND I use good lube...very very smooth with NO resistance!!!!!!!!!!!)

I may get a hold of my old man....we used to chrono ammo alot..mostly evil reloads. I’d love to do a before and after with this in a couple of his guns after treating the bores with Moly Fusion. I won’t guess at the increase but I KNOW it will be there. The reduced friction on cleaning patches even after 200+ Rnds is still very apparent.

Here’s a tip...if you reload and shoot lead....YOU NEED THIS STUFF.....IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS....It will make your lead faster (cant tell you how much yet) and build up almost nada...cleaning your gun will leave you looking at the patches and wondering....where did it go?

Sorry for the rant...like I said..I DON’T DO this with products unless I honestly feel its something that the forum and its guns will benefit from Greatly.....with this stuff...

I have no reservations about yelling from the tallest tree I can find...

Here’s the link to their site for your convenience.....I spoil you guys

Shoot well and bla bla...

Dear reader,

The above page is no longer directly at czforum.com, as there now is (no longer) a feedback section.
However, I found the thread in a search at google.ca here if you need it.
