It is not important from a shooting point of view if the best bench rest shooters are using MolyFusion™ for you to decide. Why? Which is more important: What the top shooter may not know about Moly-Fusion™ or the personal best you can achieve with it? If it does not propel you to the next higher ranking, but allows you to achieve a new personal best, is not this the best thing? If you can spend twice as much time shooting precision shots, rather then cleaning, that would help too. Of course reasons for using or not using it for Benchrest use in one area, such as centerfire VS rimfire, VS long distance VS short distance - will differ. There are many people who are FAR from the World's best the rank and file who swear it has turned them into twice as good a shooter as they once were. Now it is not being advertised in Precision Shooter Magazine, so that would affect the willingness of top-level admission into its use. (Doesn't mean they aren't using it: just not advertised all of them are.)
Now for use, while the best benchrest shooter beside you may not be using Moly-Fusion™: what if he is?
What will be the sign?
First off, his flyers will not be as far out as yours
Second of all, you will notice his bore stays so more cleaner then yours
You will notice that while he may not be outshooting you group to group, but the aggregate of all his groups will always win.
Because it is so inexpensive and so dramatic, he may just not think to mention it.
And if not, someone will.
And if not, you may be missing out on being the very first to use it and prove it works based on your performance.
Of course you have to consider whether it is right for your bore, since it will make it vastly more slippery and much more self-cleaning. This will affect what the barrel will think it the best ammo and load.
And if not your Benchrest gun, then another gun you shoot on the bench.
If you use it, (and regularly) and it is effective for you, you will notice a barrel throat will last 8-10 times longer then it should. (In other words, readjusting the load so the barrel lasts say 6,000 rounds instead of 800 means that barrel will be shooting sweet for a longer time then normal.)
So don't go by what everyone else does. If it works, and it will work on many things, you want to investigate something that is highly effective and incredibly inexpensive.
Precision shooters have used it. Long Distance Shooters have used it. While it takes an open mind to make something better and use what is best, more should, I think.
O.K., How about World-class (when in the service) snipers in the Testimonials section - some you may have heard of:
Doc Lisenby, a known old sniper from ? used it and was very happy in the 100 - 1000 yard range. For an old shooter, it can resurect your career against the "youngins" who are so brash they thing they can beat you with a refinced wooden stick. They think because they are young you can't with your ability to try new technology to keep your edge beat them: because you're smarter, and use the latest technolgy. Doc, for example said his last hurrah at Camp Perry catapulted him into an easy "top 50 in the World" for a 1000 yard shoot he participated in. Not bad for a blind old man against the young "whippersnappers" and middle-aged men alike. He talked about 11" groups to 8" groups one day at the 1000 yards.
Chief Dave (RFC), x-sniper (US Army) ranger - Special Forces - VietNam VET., (Exact Quote) and still shooting, likes it. His best 5 shot group, rimfire: here speaks for itself. Best recent shot (underground) is here. Credits for both shots include Moly-Fusion™. On 8/21/04, Chief said (credits) "Moly Fusion treatment = Lets the shooter spend more time behind the trigger rather than behind the bench (cleaning bench)."e; (Exact quote.)
