.17 hmr
The .17HMR (.17 HMR) stands for the .17 Hormady Magnun rimfire version of the 22 Magnum Rimfire version of the .22LR long rifle.
The most important thing that can be improved in a .17 HMR, is the barrel interior.
Shooting is so much better when the barrel stays warm to the touch when out of the sun, and only requires a dry patch pulled thorough the bore at worst every 50 rounds instead of a complete cleaning. I clean my barrel after about 50 rounds.. no copper fouling.. consistant accuracy.. shot some nice groups @100 yds.. best to date is .200.. got bored with shooting paper so i shot a primer out of a spent 12 gauge shotshell.. nice clean hole @ 100 yds I recommend it.. wished i tested it before.. i'm going to do the same with my bro's cz.. this is the accusport version of the 452 varmit w/ heavy bbl
2-03-04 Chief Says : I can second that. The Moly Fusion treatment
is worth double what they ask for it. Won't catch me without
some at my loading/cleaning bench.

JamesGem 2-05-04:
I recently purchased a custom rifle in an extreme wildcat.. bore fowling was pretty much an issue after 10 shots scrubbing the bore with some hoppes and a good phospher bronze brush seemed to tune it back in for the next 10 shots..My loads are not even close to max.. getting about 3680 fps on the chronagraph.. Used the Moly fusion treatment 2 times and absolutely no copper fowling is in the bore, shot 25 times and cleaned the rifle nothing but powder residue.. tried some sweets bore solvent and no copper. In my honest opinion I believe the moly fusion is a
very good marketable product.. ... treated 4 rifles and every one of them seems to do better..just my 2 cents worth.... James
