Complete with full installation directions
The enclosed adjustable sear kit is designed for when you don't want the complete Deluxe Trugger Kit, to compliment your existing target hammer in the Ruger 10/22 Trigger group you own, for:
- Further Additional Performance
- A solid, consistant rotating foundation with the oversize pins
- Adjustable to allow for the removal or addition of pre-travel you your wants and needs thgough an adjustment hole you install in your trigger roof
The Parts:
- The big Drill bit for over-sizing the hammer pin holes in both the trigger guard housing and also the trigger itself. While user results will vary, in most cases this is not needed, but it is here just in case. Now if you need to use it just follow the directions, and no drill is required.
- The smaller drill bit you see on the left. This is to oversize ream your trigger pin holes in both the trigger housing and the trigger itself. This is easily done with an electric or battery hand drill, and since it is only slightly opening up, this is real easy with the simple directions and a roll of masking tape and a vise for a gentle hold on the trigger to stabilize it without cracking it.
- The adjustable sear itself
- The two oversize pins
- Complete directions, including how and where to put the adjustment hole for the adjustment screw. You will need blue (semi-permanent), not the red lock-tite(R) or equivelant dope for the set-screw. (Not red incase you will ever want to readjust it.)
What is not included, because it is no longer needed:
- There are no side-play shims included because there is very little movement to let-off, ans side-play shims do nothing to improve performance - they would just increase your cost of the kit, and are difficult to install, making it more time consuming.
- Over travel set screw. Skeeter has found this to be now unnecessary, because there is little movement needed to cycle the trigger. Now you no longer need to try and limit it's travel. In other words this feature is obsolete with this complete DIY kit.
If you need to get a hammer with this Sear, get the drop-in Deluxe Trigger Kit, because they are not only perfectly designed to work together, but they are final fine-tuned to each other, and the pull results recorded from the worst-case (factory-wise) trigger group, and you will be told which specific S/N you will get when you order - just as if you bought it in a store.
